Ballot on the Review and Transitional Agreement 2008-2009 - 'Towards 2016'

TSSA members in the Republic of Ireland should note that the new phase of Towards 2016 'Review and Transitional Agreement 2008-2009' has been published and is currently available to all TSSA members in the Republic of Ireland.

As you are aware we have already distributed this document to all our members via our existing email lists, we will endeavour to do so by post where we are informed that member's do not have access to e-mail.

The parties have agreed that the following basic pay terms should apply:

TSSA’s Irish Committee members in the Republic of Ireland have now considered the above Agreement; it is their consideration that there will be no further improvement to the new agreement through future means of negotiations. Therefore, it is the Irish Committees position that the agreement should be supported.

A ballot in connection with the acceptability of the new Review and Transitional Agreement for 2008-2009 will be conducted in advance of the ICTU Special Delegate Conference scheduled to take place on Monday 17th November 2008, where all Trade Unions will report back with their ballot outcomes. The unions will be collectively bound by the decision of that conference.

TSSA’s Irish Committee is recommending that you vote to accept the agreement when you receive your ballot papers. Ballot papers will be issued in due course by post.
