New Water Charges - Northern Ireland

In anticipation of the new water charges being implemented in April 2007, members should note that this Association (after careful and serious consideration) will not be encouraging members to participate in the non-payment of the above water charges.

In this regard it is up to each and every householder in Northern Ireland as to whether or not they decide to pay the new water bills.

Members should note that there are potential consequences for non-payment of the new water charges which could possibly lead to prosecution.

I would ask TSSA members to note the above position.
