Iarnród Éireann - Business Update


6 October 2009: A meeting was called by the company, on the 5th October 2009, to update your union on their current trading situation. It is clear that the economic crisis is having a very detrimental effect on revenues. Iarnrod Eireann, claims that by the end of 2009, the company will be 16 million Euro short of their budgeted income for the year. They also told us that they have already found ways of reducing their expenditure. They have identified 12 million Euro of savings predominately from their supply chain. However, fare income is down to levels last seen in 2005, besides a recent 10% increase. read more

Iarnród Éireann - Voluntary Severance Arrangements


14 August 2009: TSSA and the other Unions received a letter from the company, outlining their intention to modify, unilaterally and without any consultation, the "Voluntary Severance Arrangements" and "Loss of Earnings Compensation Arrangements". read more

Iarnród Éireann National Negotiation Committee


13 July 2009: At this time neither TSSA nor any of the other Unions have received official concrete proposals from Iarnród Éireann regarding expected "Cost Savings", it is anticipated that Iarnród Éireann will request a meeting with the Unions soon.read more

General Meeting for TSSA members Irish Rail

Performance Management System


16 June 2009: TSSA had a meeting with the company on 15 June 2009 to raise your concerns over the "Performance Management System". The company as of yet has failed to honour your entitlements under this scheme for the period 2008. read more

Update on Company's Financial Position
