ICTU Jobs and Services Committee established by the NIC

6th April 2010:The ICTU Jobs and Services Committee has been established by the NIC to co-ordinate a trade union response to the current recession in an effort to combat the loss of services and jobs in both the public and private sectors.

It has been agreed to produce an alternative strategy in regard to the trade union position on spending cuts, job creation and also to highlight where the pressures on economic and social issues are coming from.

The Committee wish to have the views and experiences of shop stewards, union representative's and activists on these matters to help shape the strategy document.

We would invite your organisation to send representatives to a meeting designed to assist the preparation of this policy paper. The meeting will take place as follows:
